What an enterprise security review actually asks for

Ten deals, ten questionnaires, one pattern: buyers want evidence, not adjectives.

The Komploop team
We read the internet for a living

The questionnaire arrives when the deal is nearly done, and it decides whether the deal closes this quarter or next. Almost all of it is answerable in advance, because the questions barely change.

They are checking whether you know your own system

Behind the sections on encryption and access control, a reviewer is testing one thing: does this vendor have an accurate picture of where customer data goes? A confident, specific answer with a document attached ends a thread. A vague one starts three more.

The artefacts worth preparing once

Have these ready before the first call and most questionnaires collapse into a copy-paste:

A current sub-processor list with purpose and region for each.
A data flow description: what you collect, where it is stored, how long.
Your DPA and SCC position, ready to send without legal review.
Named contacts for privacy and security incidents, with response times.

Keep them current or they hurt you

A stale sub-processor list is worse than none: the buyer compares it to the vendors visible on your site and finds the gap themselves. Generate these artefacts from the same registry that runs your cookie page and your documents, and they age at the same rate as reality.

Try it on your own site

Have the evidence ready before the questionnaire arrives.

Komploop keeps vendors, transfers, documents and cookies in one registry, so the answers to a security review are already written.
